Developing Developers: The Who, Why, and How

Solving the human resource problem in Drupal has always been a major problem for the community.

We'll have a lively discussion on how to build a solid Drupal development team, talk about leading and building developers and partners. We'll talk about technical and thought leadership and why everyone needs to invest (and how to do it) in the future of our ecosystem. And we'll have some fun talking about adventures, failures, and success in Drupal.

Four years ago Mark was in the original AcquiaU class. Now he's the Technical Team Leader for the Eastern US Professional Services at Acquia. He's taught Drupal on four continents, working over 20 different delivery partner development teams and hundreds of developers in the Drupal space. A mentor of two more classes of AcquiaU, Mark is committed to the continued success of new developers.

Also going on 4 years in the Drupalsphere, Matt took a much different path. Starting in college as a part time Drupalist, Matt trained university staff how to build and manage their own Drupal sites. Snatched up by Acquia for his final internship before graduating, Matt quickly showed his drive to learn and grow while passing his knowledge onto others.
